Your voice. Your journey.
Curious, driven, and ready to grow? This programme is for explorers - of the world and of themselves. No fixed paths, just your journey. Share what matters. Listen, learn, and build something real. Whether traveling or staying local, you’ll be part of a tight-knit group that pushes, supports, and challenges you - but it’s on you to take the lead.
Would you like to know more about this programme or do you have a specific question? Please contact the programme and academic coordinator, Inge Rozendal: inge.rozendal@hu.nl.
You can participate in this programme though one of two tracks. Both have the same goal.
Track 1: Growth Without Borders – Purposeful Travel
Learning happens where you push your limits. Travel isn’t an escape, it’s a lab for real-world growth. Immerse yourself in a different culture and use it as a lens for reflection. Shape your insights and perspectives. Use social media to reflect and connect. No tourists here, just action, insight, and impact. Real growth has no borders - pack your bags for purposeful travel!
This track is fully online. If you are interested in it, please contact programme coordinator Inge Rozendal or email exchange@hu.nl.
Track 2: Build Your Tribe Through Social Media
Focus on self-discovery from where you are right now. Use social media to connect with people who share your values, amplify ideas that matter, and shape your vision for the future. Through online coaching and a mix of in-person and virtual workshops, you’ll engage with issues and opportunities that inspire you.
Build a community, experiment with purpose-driven ideas, and take meaningful steps toward a goal that truly matters to you - on your terms on social media, in English or another language of your choice. This track is 50% online, 50% face-to-face.

Practical information
When you move to a different country to study, there are lots of things to arrange. For instance, where will you live, what are the costs? Visit our practical information page to help you prepare your stay. It is also important to start arranging a living space as soon as possible. Our housing pages will help you on your way. A student living in the Netherlands needs about € 800 to 1000 a month to cover living expenses, such as housing, food and transportation. This includes insurances – health insurance is mandatory.
