Have you become excited about our online master Integrated Care Design? You need to have a relevant higher education diploma or equivalent as well as experience in the field.

Requirements

The programme is open to everyone having successfully completed a four year curriculum at third level (undergraduate) or equivalent, whatever their country of origin, in healthcare or welfare - for example as a social worker, social-pedagogical worker, occupational therapist, nurse, physician or psychologist.

If you do not meet the admission requirements, you may be admitted via an assessment. You will be asked to demonstrate your higher professional education cognitive and work levels.

To ensure your successful completion of the programme, you are asked to demonstrate you have at least two years' work experience in a relevant role.

Students on the course are competent professionals, managers or advocates who are well-placed to make a significant contribution to the future development of innovations that promote integrated care in complex, multidisciplinary settings.

If you do not, or not yet, live in the Netherlands, you can enrol via Studielink, after creating a personal username and password. You can create your account on the Studielink website. Students living in the Netherlands (including non-Dutch nationals) can enroll as well as apply for student grants and loans via Studielink (in English, Dutch and German). For this, you need a DigiD log-in code, which takes up to five days to obtain.

You will write and submit an essay with a maximum of 1500 words on a current theme in health or social care. This essay is part of the application process and therefor compulsory. There are no additional instructions or criteria, the writing and structuring of the essay is up to you.

You will submit the abstract plus a CV/resume and the registration form. Based on this information you will be invited for an online intake in which you will receive feedback on the essay.

As this programme is taught completely in English, you must be able to show proof of your English language ability based on a TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS score:

  • IELTS: 6.5 - with no individual section lower than 5.5
  • TOEFL: 90 - with minimum scores as follows: Listening - 17; Reading - 18; Speaking - 20; Writing - 17

All of the programmes at HU University of Applied Sciences are tested and approved by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). Further, the master programme Integrated Care Design was awarded Top Programme status by the independent Dutch Higher Education Choice Guide in 2015 through 2019.
