CERTIF-AI
Quality checks in production processes in the manufacturing industry are often destructive and therefore unsustainable. In this project, we investigate how process mining on real-time sensor data can be used to carry out quality control during the production process and detect potential problems at an early stage.
Objective
The aim of the project is to be able to predict the quality of the end product of the production process on the basis of real-time data and to adjust the production process where necessary. This will enable the industry to work more sustainably.
Results
The project will deliver an AI software toolkit with methods and algorithms for application in production processes in various industries.
Duration
15 November 2020 - 15 November 2024
Approach
New process mining algorithms are developed and tested in case studies at various industrial companies. Based on the results, a software toolkit will be developed for practical application.
HU researchers involved in the research
Impact on education
Students from the Institute for ICT, together with students from Eindhoven University of Technology, will carry out case studies in various industries.
Collaboration with partners
The project is carried out with the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS), Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University.
The industry partners are Damen Shipyards, Omron, Additive Industries and VTEC.
