National Growth-Fund: Future-proof living environment
The National Growth Fund (NGF) programme is aimed at the transition of the construction industry to a circular one. Within this programme, the HU is investigating how processes and information exchange can be organised to make the construction industry circular.
Objective
HU Research Group PI&IS is involved in 2 work packages of the programme, which are aimed at:
- How can the Circular Façade Industry and thus the Circular Chain Transition be realised?
- How can we digitalise this circular value chain of facade materials?
Results
• Process models of circular value chain
• Process simulation to support process design
• Specifications for the exchange of data and information
• Teaching materials for trade associations and education (HBO)

Approach
Together with professional practice, we develop the processes that lead to a circular value chain. We also look at the needs and requirements for exchanging information to support the circular value chain.
