Lieke Brouwer has been a researcher at the research group Public Healthcare and Public Safety since 2022. She focuses on the Person-Specific Approach (PGA) for people with complex problems. These people have problems that require care and also engage in criminal activities. In this approach the municipality, (health)care- and safety organisations collaborate in order to prevent recidivism and provide better future prospects.
After completing a bachelor in Psychology Lieke obtained a master in Criminology. Subsequently she started working for the municipality of Amsterdam, where she started out as a trainee and then became an adviser. There Lieke occupied herself with several areas of policy regarding crime, (health)care and safety.
