Participation with perspectives – job placement of female refugees

The project Participation with Perspectives focuses on the job placement of female refugees with residency status. In the Netherlands, this group is underrepresented in terms of labor participation. How can public professionals appropriately guide female refugees with residency status towards employment?

Objective

Together with professionals from municipalities, female refugees with residency status, social organizations, employers, and students, we at HU, HAN, and Windesheim are investigating the factors that both facilitate and hinder the successful guidance of female refugees with residency status towards sustainable employment. Through various regional and supra-regional meetings, stakeholders exchange and further explore the insights gained, working together to develop an enhanced action repertoire for public professionals involved in the job placement of these women.

Results

  • Establishing an interdisciplinary learning network
  • Jointly developed tools and methods for job placement
  • Insight into inspiring examples
  • Educational material for future public professionals
