The influance of using AI in Cyber Security

The aim of the project is to research the impact of the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning within companies on cyber security risks. AI business applications in some cases have the ability to make decisions or perform actions autonomously. This potentially changes over time the vectors determining the risk or the severity of the risk.

Objective

The aim is to determine whether risks are changing faster over time with the use of AI applications and whether the way risks are currently classified is still adequate in the face of the dynamic business applications development.

Results

Ultimately, the research should lead to a more dynamic methodology for determining risks and risk classifications, compared to the static methodologies currently used.

Duration

01 May 2024 - 31 December 2025

Approach

The research will be conducted in a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods. This will include case studies and literature research including interviews with relevant experts.
