Angelique Ruiter has been working as an assistant professor within the Co-Design research group since September 2021. After her Masters in European Studies and English Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam, she obtained her PhD in Sociology at Humboldt University in Berlin.
Angelique focuses on research around societal transitions, local decision-making processes, citizen participation and the energy transition.
In addition, Angelique is interested in applying transformative research, such as arts-based research, to complex urban and societal problems.
They work as a teacher, coordinator of the module Collaboration, Diversity and Inclusion and learning team supervisor for the Master Community Development.
