Anke conducts research in the field of ethics and safety. Since 2007 she has participated in European projects in the field of Security and Counter-terrorism. She is also involved in projects that deal with data usage and information security, and research ethics in practice-based social scientific research.
Anke's current research interests lie with the data usage and personal information in the public sector. She is investigating the social and ethical effects of data usage and is also a participant in the NWA-programme ‘Big Data’. Another interest of hers is the processing and sharing of personal data in the social domain.
Anke is the Privacy Officer of the Research centre for Social Innovation and she is a member of the HU Research Ethics Committee.
