Bas Cijs, MSc, has been working at the Research Group Innovation of Movement Care since August 2021. He was involved in revising the KNGF Position Statement on Physiotherapy for patients with COVID-19 and in developing a new KNGF Digital Care at Distance. Since September 2022, he has been conducting his doctoral research on promoting self-management through a smart just-in-time adaptive intervention for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis.
Bas' motivation as a clinical physiotherapist is to improve the quality of life of the individual patient. As a researcher, he hopes to contribute to achieving this goal for a larger population.
In addition to his work for Research Group Innovation of Movement Care, Bas also serves as a Policy Officer for Quality Assurance at the Institute of Human Movement Studies at University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
