Belinda Ommering

Researcher
Dr. Belinda Ommering is a senior researcher at the Research Group Research Competence. Her research focuses on the development of professional research competence or epistemic agency among higher professional education teachers - both within the context of teachers' own actionable knowledge and shaping their education as well as developing student research competences.

After obtaining her bachelor Pedagogical Sciences and her master Education and Child Studies, Belinda obtained her PhD at the Center for Innovation in Medical Education of Leiden University Medical Center. Her PhD research focused on stimulating intrinsic motivation for research among medical students through intra- and extracurricular research experiences. 

Since 2021 she works as a researcher at the Research Group Research Competence. She is involved in various research projects related to developing professional research competence or epistemic agency among higher professional education teachers and students. Furthermore she is a member of the expertise group on research of the Teaching and Learning Network and worked on a developmental tool for practice-oriented researchers.
