Eva Hijmans

Researcher

Eva Hijmans studied social psychology. She is particularly interested in the concept of work, its meaning, organisation and its effect on people. Hijmans was an (HR) consultant in organisations and management consultancy firms and currently teaches (Human Resource Management) and conducts research.

High-impact and practice-based research is the common thread that defines her work. For the project My Business 2.0, she organised customised HRM knowledge for SME entrepreneurs. As an HRM lecturer, connecting students with professional practice, and an internship coordinator and graduation supervisor.

"Social entrepreneurship, with head and heart: double the value!"

Guiding people on their path towards work is a main theme in Hijmans' research. This is reflected in her contribution to the Horizon 2020 research project Innovative Social Investment, and the project Co-creation of Service Innovation in Europe (CoSIE).
Eva Hijmans’ role in action research into up-scaling (the impact of) social enterprises is also aimed at guiding people to work.
