Within the research group Van Teeffelen is responsible for acquisition of funding, managing large research projects and the coaching of PhD-researchers. Besides, he is a stimulator in developing new programmes for entrepreneurship and the Small Business growth programs.
His research about business transfers, led to a evidence-based Minor Business Transfers & Franchising and a Code of Conduct for European Matching Platforms. Additionally he is active in lowering threshold for SME financing and cooperating with the Dutch Chambers of Commerce. He is academic chair van Transeo, de European Federation of Business Transfers, expert panelist for the Dutch Finance Authority and chairman of the Dutch Entrepreneurship Platform of Applied Research.
Lex van Teeffelen obtained his PhD on the de Nyenrode Business University with his doctoral thesis: 'Exploring success and failure in Small firm business transfers'. His promotor was prof. dr. Lorraine Uhlaner.
