Liza Looijen

Researcher

Since 2005, Lisa Looijen MSc has been working at the Institute for the Built Environment as a lecturer in Building Physics and as an expert on energy transition, sustainable construction and energy-neutral renovations. During this process, she resolutely establishes a connection between education, research and practice.

As a researcher, Liza is involved in studies that seek to stimulate energy transition in the built environment, either through policy, training or by thinking through and monitoring new renovation concepts. See some examples below.

She is passionate about working with a new generation of engineers to set up innovation projects together with the business community.

In terms of education, Liza is involved in the specialisations Circular City and Design and Construction, whereby student teams conduct research together with the business community and the government. If you are wanting to conduct research on these themes, please contact Liza.
