Marlies de Vos is a researcher at the research group Vocational Education. In her PhD research she studies how workplace educators assess student performance at the workplace during internships.
Marlies has worked at the HU University of Applied Sciences since 2007 as a teacher trainer and teaches in the English bachelor. She is registered as a teacher trainer with VELON. Marlies has extensive experience with assessment and completed both the basic and senior qualification in examination (BKE and SKE).

With her PhD project, Marlies wants to contribute to our understanding of what assessment at the workplace looks like. In the future she hopes to further explore how vocational education can better embrace and embed the assessment of workplace learning and the judgement processes that are involved.
