Mees Kok, PhD candidate at the Research Group Working in Education, specialises in using cultural differences in educational teams. His work focuses on culture, diversity, and intercultural competence. Mees’ research is based on the assumption that inclusive working and learning environments go together.

Mees is conducting his doctoral research on intercultural competence in vocational education teams. He focuses on producing knowledge that helps education professionals effectively manage cultural differences within teams and use these differences in their work. Additionally, Mees is active as a guest lecturer in various study programs and is a team member of the Diversity & Inclusion Network at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.
