Rian Koot
Since 2016, Rian Koot has worked as a university lecturer at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (Social Work Institute). As a teacher-researcher, Rian sees it as her mission to strengthen the bridge between research and education (and vice versa).
Rian's educational background (art academy, PABO, and ecological pedagogy) not only demonstrates her broad interests but also strengthens her kaleidoscopic view of the world. Her diverse perspective is further enriched by her experiences in the art domain, disability care, politics, asylum care, and ultimately, education.

In education, it always seemed logical to Rian to give those involved - whether pupils, students, or learners - some control. Similarly, in research, it is just as important to her to give the people involved a voice.
