Sander works as a senior researcher for the research group innovation of movement care. He mainly focuses on the theme ‘(integration of) technology in movement care’.
Sander has worked in a primary care physical therapy practice for more than 10 years. During that period he graduated from the master clinical health sciences at Utrecht University. After that he conducted doctoral research on injury prevention in football and successfully defended his dissertation in 2020. Besides working as a physical therapist and doing research, he worked as a teacher with physical therapy students on academic skills and clinical reasoning and coordinated that educational curriculum.
He also worked for two years as a researcher at the National eHealth Living Lab in Leiden university Medical Center.
