Theo van den Bogaart
Theo van den Bogaart is a teacher-trainer for mathematics for the second- and first-level teaching qualification programme. He is involved in a number of educational innovations, including blended learning and lesson study. He is also active as a teacher-trainer for higher professional education.
Theo studied mathematics and physics at Utrecht University and conducted research in algebraic geometry in Leiden for four years. He was also a teacher in secondary education for a number of years, partly in combination with his job at the university of applied sciences. For a while, he also combined teaching with revision of the mathematics curriculum for senior general secondary education and pre-university education.
Theo is interested in all aspects that go into training good teachers, as well as in developing effective mathematics education.
