Beyond a human-centered pedagogy

Ecopedagogy is education through an ecological worldview, in which humans are not considered to be the center of the world. According to ecopedagogy, education and parenting takes place in a complex interplay with the environment. How can this complexity be meaningfully understood to develop 'good education' and ‘good parenting’?

Objective

The aim of this PhD research is to develop, in a participatory way, an ecological pedagogical approach that contributes to working with complex issues of ‘good education’ and ‘good parenting’ by a dialogue between philosophy and practice.

Results

Together with coaches and students, the aim is to further develop and practice an ecological pedagogical approach in the master pedagogy and develop knowledge about it.
