Fruit in a heartshaped box
People with metabolic syndrome have an increased risk on developing cardiac diseases. To prevent cardiac diseases, we develop The Healthbox, a virtual coach combined with telemonitoring devices which supports people in developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The target population consists of people with metabolic syndrome and a lower socio-economic position.

Objective

The goal is to contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular disease through the HealthBox, specifically in people with metabolic syndrome and lower socioeconomic status. The HealthBox will have an accessible and user-friendly design so that it can be used by everyone.

  • Adequate, evaluated implementation strategies to use the the healthbox in daily practice.
  • A contribution to reducing health disparities in society.
