The prehabilitation care pathway: the road to better recovery
Major surgery comes with the risk of complications and delayed or poor recovery. Improving physical fitness and healthy lifestyle surrounding major surgery enhance recovery after surgery. In this project, we explore how to offer this guidance tailored and person-centred.
Objective
The aim of this project is to develop and evaluate a care pathway in which we provide patients with tailored person-centred guidance surrounding their surgery to improve physical fitness and lifestyle change.

Approach
Within this project, a care pathway will be developed based on a number of steps. Within these steps, various research methods will be used: literature review, qualitative research and quantitative research, and various stakeholders will be involved.
