Miriam van der Velde works as a junior researcher within the Research group Innovation of Movement Care. She is also a lecturer for the master's degree programme in Geriatric Physiotherapy at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
Miriam is active within the ‘Beter Voorbereid’ (‘Better Prepared’) project. This project aims to prepare patients to be in better physical condition prior to their surgery, as well as to improve their subsequent physical recovery through the use of eHealth. As a lecturer, she supervises second-year students and also contributes to specialist and academic education.
After completing her training as a physiotherapist, Miriam followed a master’s programme in Geriatric Physiotherapy at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. She is currently in the final phase of a master’s degree programme in Evidence Based Practice at the University of Amsterdam. Her graduation research will be situated within the Better Prepared project.
