Karin Valkenet
Since 2018 Karin is working as senior researcher within the research group Innovation of Movement Care. She performs research within the line ‘Physical self-reliance during hospitalisation’.

Karin has a background as health scientist and physical therapist. For more than 10 years she combined her work as hospital physical therapist with research at the University Medical Center Utrecht. In 2024 she is appointed as Associate Professor at UMC Utrecht. She is working as program manager of Hospital in Motion and supervises several projects and researchers at both UMC Utrecht and HU within the topic of physical activity before, during and after hospital stay.
