How do we build a society in which everyone can participate, realize their rights and feel safe? Our research groups focus on this question, conducting research with and for (future) professionals in the broad social domain. We develop methods and products that have an impact on professional practice and education and contribute to the knowledge development.

The research centre focuses on strengthening better coexistence with a focus on promoting social equality. The quality of living together is the result of social innovations in practice and is determined by three missions values: inclusion, justice and safety. We conduct practice-oriented research on the development and prioritization of current social and societal issues various perspectives and disciplines.

Collaboration

We work together with partners from the field - social organisations, social enterprises, governments and people concerned - in close connection with education and with other knowledge institutions. For example, community and voluntary organisations, healthcare and welfare organisations, schools, probation organisations, ministries and municipalities.
