Danielle Vossebeld is an industrial designer. She works as a lecturer, researcher and coordinator at the Institute for Design & Engineering on the topic of 'technology for healthcare'.
Danielle has been involved with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences since 2005 (first years as a freelancer). It started as a lecturer-researcher in the field of ergonomics and human-centred design, as well as courses in product development.
During her PhD research at UMC Utrecht, Danielle came into contact with the complex hospital environment and its influence on product development and implementation of technology used by nursing. This brought together this research from the Smart Systems for Healthy Living research group and the systems thinking topic explored by the Co-Design research group.
The focus for research is now mainly on complex systems and their importance for healthcare design. She is also coordinator of the Design for Health program.
