Gercoline van Beek is a senior researcher and PhD candidate within the research groups Working with Mandated Clients and Debt and Debt collection, both of the Research Centre for Social Innovation. She is also a lecturer at the Institute for Social Work.
Gercoline has a background in social sciences. During her bachelor's degree at Radboud University Nijmegen, she combined organisational and behavioural principles. She subsequently obtained a research master's degree and for some time after, she participated in research projects at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
Gercoline's expertise lies within the disciplines of forensics and debt counselling. Since September 2018, she has been working on her doctoral research into the complexity of financial issues among probation clients.
For the bachelor's programme in Social Work, Gercoline mainly provides graduation supervision and research education. She also coordinates the forensic graduation profile, including the minor Working with Mandated Clients.
