Marieke Bor - de Vries
Marieke Bor-de Vries does PhD research for the Research Group Mathematical and Analytical Competence of Professionals. She carries out research on the relations between different aspects of numeracy and having financial problems.

Before Marieke started her PhD research, she participated in different HU research projects. The most recent project was Gecijferdheid Telt Mee! (Numeracy counts!). In this experiment the HU together with libraries and other partners increased awareness about numeracy. To keep professionals informed the project resulted in a website and an annual conference on numeracy.
