Rosa Alberto has been working as a researcher within the HU Lectorate of Mathematical and Analytical Competence of Professionals Since september 2022. She works on awareness and tools for numeracy, both at a local and European level. Numeracy is an essential but underexposed basic skill in 21st-century societies.
Rosa Alberto's interests and experiences focus on what and how people learn. She studied psychology (specialization: cognitive neuroscience) at Leiden University, researching analogical reasoning and math skills, among other things. Her PhD research at Utrecht University focuses on the development and implementation of embodied design applications for mathematical reasoning.
