Saskia Wijsbroek is a professor in Youth at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The Research group Youth focuses on the development, sharing and application of knowledge regarding the stimulation of a climate of healthy upbringing and development for young people.
Saskia Wijsbroek also works as a university lecturer and healthcare psychologist (BIG-registered) at Utrecht University. Her doctoral research focused on fear among adolescents and family interactions. She co-develops, coordinates and implements educational programmes for Pedagogical Sciences. Saskia previously worked as a practitioner with young adults with anxiety and mood complaints and in youth psychiatry.
She is a member of the Richtlijnen (Guidelines) youth advisory committee, the Actualisatie richtlijnen (Actualisation of guidelines) project group at the NJi and the Youth Committee of P3NL.
From 2009 to 2017 she was Supervisor at the Zandbergen institute, later known as the Youké institute for specialist care. She was also a member and co-chair of the scientific advisory committee of the Dutch Association for Marital and Family Therapy (NVRG) from 2011 to 2017.
