Sylvie Boermans is a researcher at the Knowledge Center for Social Innovation. She researches how the quality of conduct within the social domain can be improved. To achieve this, she prefers an action-oriented approach where three sources of knowledge converge: experience-, practice- and science-based knowledge.

Sylvie Boermans is trained as a social psychologist and earned her PhD on the topic of 'mental resilience.' Since 2015, she has been a researcher in the social domain, with a strong focus on recognizing and valuing craftsmanship.

She is a co-creator of the approach 'Tailored Customization’ and a co-leader of action-oriented research on 'Guiding Behavioral Principles' for effective support.
